Working with Kermit: An SPC Flooring Distributor Guide
Plan a Kermit distributor range, prepare samples and product records, and organise first orders and reorders around the one-container wholesale MOQ.

A useful distributor range gives each stocked product a clear role and makes repeat orders easy to identify. Start with the customers you serve, the projects they bring and the information your sales team needs to specify a floor confidently. The number of colours on a display is only one part of that decision.
Kermit's range includes SPC flooring, skirting and wall panels. For wholesale SPC flooring, the minimum order is one container, the standard lead time is four weeks, and OEM/private-label work is possible. The quotation should confirm the selected products, packing, branding scope and delivery schedule for your order.
Give the opening assortment a job
Separate products you intend to hold in stock from finishes you will show and quote for a project. A sample on the wall should have a clear status: available from your stock, awaiting replenishment, or subject to a new supplier quotation. This helps the salesperson give a useful answer when a customer asks when fitting can begin.
Build a shortlist around distinct customer needs. For example, you might compare a light wood-look floor for neutral interiors, a darker option for contrast and a stone-look option for a different visual direction. These are assortment roles, not a recommended stock allocation. Set quantities from your own enquiries, confirmed projects, storage capacity and working-capital plan.
Use a small worksheet before choosing opening quantities:
| Range decision | What to record |
|---|---|
| Customer and application | Who is buying, which rooms they supply and the evidence those projects require |
| Visual role | Light, medium or dark tone; wood or stone look; the gap it fills in your range |
| Exact product | Family, collection, decor code and agreed construction |
| Sales status | Stock item, display sample or project quotation |
| Supporting finishes | Proposed skirting and wall-panel samples to review alongside it |
| Supply plan | Requested quantity, quotation reference, confirmed timing and next review date |
Avoid ordering several very similar colours simply because all look attractive on screen. Ask what each adds to the showroom conversation. The colour and format guide offers a practical way to compare physical samples before the shortlist becomes an order.
Keep three product families in one conversation
Showing a floor beside a skirting profile and wall finish lets a buyer review the whole junction. It also makes missing details visible: skirting height, door clearances, wall-panel edges and how the finishes meet.
Each family still needs its own product record and quantity. Flooring is commonly planned in square metres; skirting needs measured runs and piece lengths; wall panels need an elevation and cutting layout. A room's floor area cannot determine all three quantities. Nor does a shared decor name establish an exact colour match between a floor and a wall panel.
Use the coordinated finish schedule for project enquiries. It gives the dealer, designer and installer a common record while keeping each product's application and installation requirements clear.
Make every sample traceable
Label the sample with its product family, collection and decor code. Keep the sample reference alongside the agreed thickness, wear layer, dimensions, backing and locking system. If a display sample represents the colour but a different construction is being quoted, explain that distinction on the record.
A useful sales file contains the current product sheet, applicable installation and care guidance, approved sample reference and the supplier's written offer. Request the warranty terms and any project-specific performance documents before making promises to the customer. Keep document revisions with the offer so a later replacement file does not leave the original order ambiguous.
The Resources library contains current catalogues and published technical and installation documents. Use it to assemble the material relevant to the selected product. For additional samples, display material or a dealer support pack, ask Kermit to confirm the contents, format, language, cost and timing needed for your launch.
Turn one container into a defined purchase
The one-container MOQ is a starting term for wholesale SPC flooring. It does not state the container size, square metres loaded, the permitted mix of decors or whether other product families can share the shipment. Those details need a confirmed packing proposal.
Send the shortlisted codes with the required construction and quantities, delivery destination and intended selling or project date. Ask for the carton and pallet information needed to plan your warehouse intake. Confirm whether branding, sample approval or other preparation affects the schedule. Treat the four-week standard lead time separately from the final arrival date; the offer should identify its starting point and the transport arrangements.
The samples and wholesale quotation guide sets out the order fields in more detail. Once the offer is agreed, give the sales team the actual approved schedule and product descriptions rather than an earlier enquiry estimate.
Plan reorders while the first order is still traceable
Track physical stock, quantities already reserved for customers and incoming orders separately. A full warehouse count may include material already committed to a project. Review the products generating repeat enquiries as well as sales, and note when a sale was lost because a particular finish or quantity was unavailable.
For a reorder, quote the previous order number and exact product description. Reconfirm current availability and timing, and ask how the new supply should be checked against retained samples and batch references when it will meet an existing installation. Matching names alone are insufficient to approve an extension to a completed room.
If you are building your own brand, use the OEM/private-label guide before commissioning packaging or sales literature. Agree who approves artwork, product descriptions and required documents. Territory arrangements, exclusivity and commercial targets belong in the written distributor agreement; they should be settled before a launch is advertised.
Distributor questions
What is Kermit's wholesale SPC flooring minimum order?
The minimum order is one container. Confirm the container type, loading quantity, product mix and packing details in the quotation. Do not convert the MOQ into a fixed square-metre quantity without that information.
Does the four-week lead time mean delivery to my warehouse in four weeks?
Kermit's standard lead time is four weeks. The quotation should confirm when that period starts and the destination delivery schedule, including transport and any order-specific preparation.
Can I sell Kermit SPC flooring under my own brand?
OEM/private-label work is possible. Agree the exact product, branding scope, artwork, documents and commercial terms before approving the order or publishing your own product claims.
How do I start a distributor enquiry?
Send your sales market, customer types, shortlisted collections, proposed quantities and destination through the contact form. Include the samples and documents you need and your intended launch date so Kermit can prepare a relevant discussion and quotation.
